Hi, I'm April.

I'm a dyslexia and special education teacher in Southeast Texas, thirteen years in, and I run April Joy Studio.

What I do all day is take something that isn't working — too complicated, badly organized, overwhelming — and rebuild it into something a real person can actually use. That's the job in a classroom. It turns out it's the same job for a small business website.

Outside the classroom I run an online wellness community, build email automations, and create apps and digital products. I'm an herbalist-in-training, which is where the wellness side of my work comes from. All of it solo, in evenings and weekends. I'm not describing a résumé — I'm describing the exact work I'd be doing for you.
